Aimee Semple McPherson Grave

Some writers have mistakenly stated that Aimee Elizabeth Kennedy Sempleton McPherson was Irish. Some genealogists have wrongly attached her to a family line traced to Ireland, and someone even went so far as to pencil over a Federal Census record to change her lineage to Irish.

The truth is, her mother was English, her father Scottish, her aunt Maria married a St. Clair (strongly Scottish), and her first husband (Sempleton) parents were Scottish-Irish (Gordon Langely Hall, The Sawdust Trail, 1964, p. 174). The following bears out her correct genealogy.

1901 Census (Canada) -Aimee Scottish

The following document correctly traces Aimee's lineage.
